Evidence based reasons Why NOT to Administer Time-Limited Tests

thumbnail of Empirically Based Reasons NOT to Administer Time-Limited Tests

Presenter: Suzanne Gaulocher

Borrowing from an equity workshop I did with the CoLab a few years ago in collaboration with a colleague at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, I’d like to present four reasons why not to administer timed tests:
1. timed tests are less valid
2. timed tests are less reliable
3. timed tests are less inclusive
4. timed tests are less equitable
