Mentioning the Unmentionable: Facilitating Difficult Conversations in the Classroom

During this CoLab event, presenters Judith Josiah-Martin (University of Maine, Social Work) and Alison Smith Mitchell (Plymouth State, Social Work) demonstrated how to create a climate of courageous inquiry through introduction and definition of the terms bias, prejudice, and discrimination using emotionally-neutral, often humorous examples.
