That so many students, midway through the semester (in my upper-division, not my TWP ) realized that having their cameras on helped me. Helped in many ways: emotionally not working with boxes of names, pedagogically in “reading” the room and getting hand gestures to questions. Though they didn’t like me in breakout rooms!! (which was OK 🙂 And I’ll add that my 8am TWP really came through with “showing up” in so many ways, what with the early time and the remoteness of it all. They were great and worked in groups so well . . . gave me hope that this cluster stuff/TWP/HOM focus is going to work!
