My mother had a stroke in late September. She was transferred from one hospital to another to receive emergency surgery. The COVID issues were overwhelming in terms of visitation and hospital usage and how to deal with the health issues as well as now how to deal with supporting her from a different state. I now know the issues people were experiencing when loved ones were in nursing homes or hospitals. My empathy has grown.
