Teaching the “Classroomless” Class

Join us for a 60 minute workshop about teaching outside of the confines of a standard classroom. This program is for teaching faculty as well as those of us who teach students through other mechanisms on campus: one-shot drop in visits, advising, campus jobs, etc. The CoLab will provide a brief introductory presentation about the major issues surrounding this kind of work. Participants will engage in a conversation about how this kind of teaching fits into the larger landscape of the University, how it intersects with “traditional” teaching, and what innovative design practices we could bring to this work to help elevate it. Lunch provided.
