Teaching Academic Reading: Beyond Highlighters and Sticky-notes

Reading academic texts is different from reading fantasy novels and Instagram posts. We will cover practical approaches to supporting students in tackling multisyllabic words, grasping complex syntax, navigating unfamiliar text structures, and monitoring their own reading comprehension.
