Deadline to register: 2/12 @ 5PM Jason Charrette, who became a part of Plymouth State University in 2022, has over a decade of experience integrating games and simulations into political science education. He blends insights from game design with the science of active learning techniques to create engaging and innovative experiences for his students. Join Dr. Jason Charrette for a hands-on workshop to explore the use of game-based learning and role-play simulations to promote active learning, problem-solving, real-world application, collaboration and communication, and engagement and presence in the classroom. Workshop activities will include: Immersive Experience: Participants will actively engage in a role-play simulation, experiencing firsthand the benefits of this approach for student learning. Design Your Own Simulation: Drawing upon the workshop’s insights and participants’ disciplinary expertise, participants will design a role-play simulation for their own class(es).
