CoSA Application

The CoLab Student Affiliates (CoSA) Program empowers students at Plymouth State University to engage in and lead innovations in teaching and learning. Student Affiliates mentor and consult with faculty, staff, and students; develop themselves as peer leaders and mentors through practice and conversation; and participate in campus-wide discussions about the challenges of higher education. Students will generally work 5-10 hours per week with flexible scheduling. These positions are work study eligible. Starting compensation is $13/hour. Questions? Contact us at psu-open@plymouth.edu!

CoLab Student Affiliate Position

  • Current student at Plymouth State University
  • A strong work ethic
  • The ability to communicate clearly and patiently about complex issues
  • Insatiable curiosity about technology, teaching and learning, and issues in higher ed
  • Learning about and consulting on open and digital educational practices
  • Collaborating with faculty and staff on developing digital environments for courses
  • Supporting students working with digital tools and in digital environments
  • Attending faculty events and actively participating in conversations around teaching and learning
  • Being assigned to a “Foundations of Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS)” mentor group and otherwise mentoring students in the IDS program
  • Processing IDS application paperwork
  • Providing technology support on student ePorts
  • Doing office work

Training will be provided for all of this! You just have to be excited to learn!

Our rates start at $10/hour!

In your cover letter, explain how you meet the minimum qualifications, discuss your previous work experience and/or passions that prepare you for this work, and tell us a little bit about your interest in education, technology, or working to make PSU a better place to learn. You should also provide the names and email of two academic or professional references (professor, employer, internship director, etc.) whom we can contact. 

The deadline to apply is July 8, 2022. Interviews will be in the middle of July via Zoom.
