I am grateful for many things that have happened during this fall, despite the circumstances. If I had to choose one particular thing in regards to my learning, I believe I would choose one of my courses this semester. It is called “Global Marketing” and it is one of the most interesting courses I have taken during my time at PSU, which is mainly because of the professor. Even though it was taught online most of the time at 8 am, I always felt very excited about the class and I never really lost interest. In some other online classes I had, it was extremely easy to pay more attention to my phone than my zoom class because I couldn’t find the lecture interesting. It was different in my global marketing course since the professor made all students interact during our class and have our camera on, and those small things helped me stay engaged and learn plenty of new things. I think it is important for teachers to remember that it is possible to have students feel part of the class and engage in discussions even if it is taught via zoom. They just have to make the expectations clear from the start and encourage students to bring in their opinions and points of view.
