Portfolio Part: Technology goals

Written Reflection

In thinking about the goal(s) I had for myself while participating in this module I have decided that validation of my current technology choices is something I want(ed) to have. After reading a few of the articles as well as others comments, annotations, postings I do feel that what I use in my courses is valid. Currently a couple of tools I use in my courses are electronic polling, specifically Polleverywhere for assessing whether students are grasping the information and/or assessing their prior knowledge  but on those days when electronic technology is “not my friend” I go old school and we use a tri-fold paper pamphlet with A,B,C,D,T,F on the panels that students hold up the panel with the answer they choose to give. After reading Cathy Davidsons article I do feel validated that my old school technology is indeed technology and more importantly is just as effective as the newer mechanism.
