My courses have an advantage of adaptability. I offer my students a trade on day one: I will NOT: do high stakes examinations twice, give lengthy tests or 10+ page papers. You WILL: attend absolutely every single class, because we are doing continuous hands-on labs between bouts of theory mashed in there like cookie dough. Would other people do things differently? I have no idea.
What about toolkit courses? Are people doing them? Any in regard to discipline-reliant technology? We’re about to have certifications and micro credentials take over the landscape. Are people looking at them? They seem cyclic, seasonal. “Here’s that discussion again..”
