Despite working in a higher education environment for nearly all of my adult life, I did not consider myself an educator until relatively recently. As my perspective shifted, I came to know all the ways in which I have taught students over the years, inside and outside of a classroom. Pedagogy in librarianship is often focused on brief, one-on-one interactions with students and one or two sessions meant to orient an entire class to research resources. I usually see them in times of exception, and thinking about pedagogy outside of designing a full course is challenging. For this module, I just want to follow my curiosity and absorb as much as I can while thinking about pedagogy in the context of my role at PSU. I hope to build on my rethinking of what it means to teach and to understand pedagogy from the ground up.
