An emergent exploration of critical instructional design.

Portfolio Part: Final Reflections on Pedagogy and Learning

Written Reflection

I feel I’ve gained so much from this module and have engaged perhaps more than ever in contemplating pedagogy, along with fundamental ideas about learning, inquiry, wonder, curiosity and the teacher/student dynamic.

I found many of the resource articles to tie into the books I’ve been reading in the past year or so, often centered around creativity, belief, critical thinking, practicing, etc

I think a key area that struck me, is the idea to better equip and inspire students to be lifelong learners, to aspire to be autodidactic , and ultimately help find or increase their passion.

Other thoughts have been on the paradox of institutional systems that may not always hold the students interests above their own.   With that, the importance of education overall as a collective means to increase the well being of everyone in a society , is more and more apparent to me.

I’ve enjoyed and been inspired by all the other contributions and comments from other participants in this module.
