Introduction to Critical Instructional Design: Resources

For this module, we have assembled a selection of resources related to the topics and questions we will be exploring. Resources are divided into three categories:

  • Group Resources are meant to be reviewed (and annotated) by everyone in the module cohort.
  • Choice Resources allow you to choose at least one additional items to read and annotate that is relevant to your interests and experiences
  • Optional Resources are simply further items you may wish to explore on your own.

In the daily dispatches, we will highlight specific resources related to other topics and questions of the day. You may follow along this way, but you may also read ahead or come back to something later!

Annotation

We will be making use of Hypothes.is for group annotation of resources. You’ll need to follow these steps to participate in annotation activity:

  1. If you don’t have a Hypothes.is account signup for one now. If you do, make sure you know your username and password
  2. Join the Design Forward Hypothes.is annotation group
  3. Visit each resource using the links on this page and login to the Hypothes.is panel.
  4. Begin annotating! Your contributions will be visible to members of the Design Forward Hypothes.is annotation group.

These are for everyone to read/review and annotate:
