Stop One: Exploring Topics

Every module in Design Forward has a Topics page where you can explore the main ideas and themes. Each Topic page contains a textual introduction as well as short video. Over the course of a module, make sure you’ve reviewed the all the topic materials. 

The topics for Orientation are a little different from what you will encounter in other DF modules. These topics provide background information about DF and useful information about how to get started with the DF website and materials. Make sure you’ve reviewed all three of them! 

By the time you are done reviewing all the topics, you should have 

  • Learned about the DF philosophy
  • Become familiar with the nine DF modules
  • Created an account on and logged into the DF website (where you are now!)
  • Become familiar with the structure of a DF module
  • Learned you can refer back to these videos if you need help throughout Orientation
