I have been an educator in different ways over the past 40 or so years. I started out as a certified high school teacher, and then moved on to early childhood (where the students still want to learn). I am now in higher ed, working in Community Standards. My work involves talking to parents a lot, which I use an an opportunity to answer questions and offer support. I will be retiring this spring and am considering doing some online teaching in the future. In my M. Ed. program, I took a curriculum design course, and now want to update my skills and philosophy.

The Best Tool

My technology tool is not digital. I think the combined brain-power of a group of students and the teacher is the best “tool” of all.
