Walter Huffenweezle

My metaphor for learning and teaching is this delightful and strange statuette my friend got me for my birthday. I named him Walter Huffenweezle and he’s somehow completely perfect for me– a constant reminder to lead with play, wonder, and curiosity, all of which are essential for my teaching and learning. If I’m not paying attention I can fall into a habit of seriousness and perfectionism, but another part of me (wilder and truer) knows that I’m much more useful and have way more fun when I’m grounded in Walter’s wide-eyed awe and humility.
