Things are not going well in my classes, now what?

Five Things to Know

  1. Connect with your advisor to discuss your struggles.
  2. Connect with your faculty for your classes and see if you can talk with them after class or set up a time during their office hours.
  3. Check your course syllabi for information about the best way to contact your professors.
  4. Explore the different support resources available to you on campus.
  5. If there’s an extenuating circumstance to you academic struggle, contact Dr. David Zehr, Academic Student Advocate.

A Deeper Dive

  1. Visit the Writing Center for help with writing reports, papers, lab reports, etc.
  2. Visit the PASS Office for help acquiring a tutor for an individual class. Also stop in on a first come, first serve basis for help from the Study Skills tutors!
  3. If you had an IEP or 504 plan in high school, visit the Campus Accessibility Office to make an appointment to set up accommodations.
  4. If you’re struggling with your mental health, connect the Counseling Center.
  5. If there are extenuating circumstances, contact the Academic Student Advocate, Dr. David Zehr.
