About this Site

This site collects ideas and resources for exploring Generative AI at the university level. The primary feature is a collection of ideas for assignments, assessments, and other activities that you can explore using in your own classroom. These are tagged by type, discipline and topic. We have collected these ideas from various online resources that are freely available online; for each item, we have provided a link to and information about the original resource as well as usage rights. 

In addition, you can find an extensive bibliography of online articles and resources to further explore and learn about generative AI. Each item has a brief abstract, is associated with at least one primary category, and is also tagged for additional sorting and filtering.

About the Topics

We have organized the activity ideas on this site around three topics; in addition these topics are available as tags that you can use to explore the bibliography. 

Teaching WITH

Learn how to use generative AI tools in your teaching. Find ideas for planning/designing assignments using AI as well as ideas for activities and assignments that ask students to use AI tools. 

Teaching AGAINST

Learn strategies for resisting the use of AI, particularly if you have concerns about issues of ethics, privacy, security, or equity.  Strategies and resources cover developing “AI-resistent” policies or  assignments.

Teaching ABOUT

Learn how to introduce the concepts of AI into your classes so students develop a deeper understanding of how these tools work, what opportunities they present, and what challenges we face.
