Instructions
Choose a chapter from Interdisciplinary Studies: A Connected Learning Approach [old version] or Cluster Learning: A Springboard for Interdisciplinary, Networked, and Individualized Education [new draft]. Please pick a chapter that we haven’t read for class.
Make this chapter your own by annotating it with Hypothesis. Use your annotations to delve further into the topics discussed, define unfamiliar terms or phrases, ask questions that occur to you as you read, etc. If there are already public annotations on the chapter, respond to them. Add media to your annotations, where appropriate.ย
Read the chapter at least three times. The first time, just read (don’t annotate.) The second time, begin your annotation process. Wait at least a week for your third/last reading. This time review and add to your previous annotations.ย ย
Reflection
Write a blog post reflecting upon your annotation project. Make sure you link to the chapter so that we can see your annotations.
As you write your reflection, consider these questions: Did you read the text differently the first and second time? Did annotation change the way you read? If there were other annotations already on the text, did this impact your reading? How could you use Hypothesis as a tool for reading in other classes you are currently taking or ones you take in the future?
