SUMMARY:Approaches to Generative AI in the Classroom (Series)
DESCRIPTION:This four-part meeting series is aimed at faculty interested in the intersection of generative AI and teaching & learning. Each week we will focus on a particular reading/issue\, emerging from the interests and concerns of participants. \n\n\n\nWe will record key takeaways\, questions\, or ideas from each meeting with the goal of producing a resource at the end of the semester to share with the larger campus. \n\n\n\nPossible meeting topics: \n\n\n\n\ntalking to students about AI\n\n\n\ncreating a usable AI classroom policy\n\n\n\nAI across disciplines\n\n\n\nis AI resistance possible and if so what does it look like?\n\n\n\nmaking critical choices about the use of AI for teaching and learning\n\n\n\n\nLight food and beverages provided.  \n\n\n\n\n\nReading for Meeting on 9/22\n\n\n\nTo kick off this series\, we invite attendees to read The Manifesto for Teaching and Learning in a Time of Generative AI: A Critical Collective Stance to Better Navigate the Future.
