{"id":304,"date":"2023-06-15T17:30:56","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T17:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/colab.plymouthcreate.net\/ecolibrium\/?post_type=activity&#038;p=304"},"modified":"2023-06-29T18:49:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-29T18:49:51","slug":"daily-sift-practice","status":"publish","type":"activity","link":"https:\/\/colab.plymouthcreate.net\/ecolibrium\/activity\/daily-sift-practice\/","title":{"rendered":"Daily SIFT Practice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At the start of each class period, prompt students with a source or claim that you have encountered recently (could be related to current events or to the topic of the course).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give them 2-3 minutes to evaluate it using a piece of the SIFT method of their choosing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have students report out what they found about the claim or source.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Considerations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This would work particularly well if you\u2019ve had the class work through the <a href=\"https:\/\/colab.plymouthcreate.net\/ecolibrium\/activity\/check-please-starter-course\/\" data-type=\"activity\" data-id=\"302\">Check Please, Starter Course<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This exercise doesn\u2019t need to take a lot of time.
