Design Forward orients itself around three pedagogical questions with the hope that it will bring cohesion to the program without forcing faculty into prescriptive approaches:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What happens if we <strong>ask<\/strong> <em>critical questions<\/em> about the choices we make when we design our courses?<\/li><li>What happens if we <strong>resist<\/strong> the <em>devaluation of care<\/em> that infuses our educational institutions?<\/li><li>What happens if we <strong>align<\/strong> our teaching with a larger institutional <em>mission<\/em> that we co-create?<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>We will learn to ask questions about the norms we\u2019ve accepted about teaching, and ask questions about new horizons of educational possibility. We\u2019ll examine the ways in which teaching and learning are invested in and\/or alienated from care work, and explore the value of care to our teaching goals.
