A pretty sincere goal I have is as an educator to network with other educators and get some comfort (haha) with my resistance to technology. Look, I embraced google classroom during covid, aren’t I all good for a decade or two?\u00a0 Does anyone else feel that way?<\/p>\n
Another goal I have to is to investigate assessment practices that use technology and get an idea of how much new technologies are helping or hurting the teaching profession. A colleague of mine just caught her first chat gbt paper submission by a student and is going through the plagiarism process with the grumpy student, an unnerved administration, and wary parents.<\/p>\n
By the way, what if technology simply replaces us? What’s to stop my school from recording my lessons, taking my intellectual property, and firing me into order to offer up my work as self-driven virtual learning classes? Some kids would thrive on that!<\/p>\n
