Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes are often linked to assessment, including program and institutional assessment. But learning outcomes can also be powerful ways to open conversations with students about their learning, and can help make the path to academic success clearer for students.

Research shows that we can improve persistence if we, as faculty, learn more about how to design effective learning outcomes and, more importantly, if we leverage learning outcomes as a part of our pedagogical practice.
