Written Reflection

For this technology and tools DF module, I have two main goals. My first goal is theoretical. So much happened during and after COVID on the way we relate to digital technologies that I would like to hear what the experts as well as my colleagues think and feel about this topic. My second goal is more practical. For a long time, I have this dream that my language students will communicate with native speakers of Spanish outside of the classroom. I hope that they can apply their knowledge and language skills, have more natural conversations, and develop friendships beyond Plymouth, and the US. Two of my main concerns about this project have been safety and cost. I have explored some apps but working on this DF module, it gave me the idea to create a class activity where students can research and evaluate apps themselves for this type of exchange. I think this aligns with what we have discussed so far regarding promoting digital literacy. I might even do a similar activity so I can practice my own languages.
