Design Forward is organized into five “core” modules and a number of “flexible” modules.
Collectively, the core modules cover a set of standard topics about teaching: pedagogy, modalities, equity, tools, and instructional design. The flexible modules are each a unique DF experience to encourage deeper exploration or more focussed application of DF practices.
Other than this Orientation experience, none of the modules are required, and there is no prescribed order to them. We encourage participants to engage in modules that meet their needs at particular times.
NOTE: Participants in the Davis Foundation Designing Forward grant, will be assigned to specific modules as part of their cohort activities.
In this video, we go into a deeper explanation of each of the modules.
