Participation Requirements
Faculty Designers in Season Two of Designing Forward are expected to complete the following:
- Attend the Spring Pedagogy Institute on May 19 and the Season Two Kickoff on May 20 (in-person)
- Develop a detailed plan for their design project (a brief proposal is required as part of the application below)
- Work on and complete their design project between May 2026 and May 2027
- Check in with the CoLab as agreed-upon deadlines to provide project updates
- Mentor and support the work of the Student Collaborator, if one is requested
- Attend a University Days session in mid-August (in-person, date TBD)
Application Review & Deadlines
We will be reviewing applications in two rounds:
Priority Deadline: March 13th
This deadline may be helpful if you would like a decision earlier for planning purposes. Decisions will be communicated by March 20th. If you aren’t accepted at this time, your application will be considered again in the second round. We will not be filling the Season Two cohort from this application pool, so waiting does not mean you run the risk of spots being filled.
Final Deadline: April 24th
Any new or remaining applications will be reviewed at this time. Decisions will be communicated by May 1st.
