How do I find a job on campus?

Five Things to Know

  1. Log on to Handshake using your PSU login credentials.
  2. Click on “jobs” in the top left corner.
  3. Filter by “on-campus” next to the search bar.
  4. Scroll through open positions on the left and click on opportunities that interest you.
  5. Follow the instructions per position to apply for the job you are interested in.

A Deeper Dive

  1. All jobs on campus are work-study eligible except jobs in the dining hall (Chartwells), bookstore (Barnes & Noble), or jobs that pay a stipend instead of hourly wage (e.g., Community Advisors).
  2. Please check all job descriptions to see if the job is limited to only work-study students or if they are open to both student hourly (no work-study) and work-study students.
  3. Most jobs will require you to submit a resume and your class schedule. Please have these handy when applying for jobs. If you need help with your resume, please schedule an appointment with Career Development through Navigate.
